The Booth Theatre, designed by Henry B. Herts, opened October 16, 1913, at 222 W. 45th St. The venue is named for Edwin Booth, arguably the most prominent American actor of the 19th century.
The critically-lauded and wildly popular new musical, Kimberly Akimbo, has transferred to Broadway with the cast from the Atlantic Theater Company intact.
SYNOPSIS:Kim is a bright and funny Jersey teen, who happens to look like a 72-year-old lady. And yet her aging condition may be the least of her problems. Forced to maneuver family secrets, borderline personalities, and possible felony charges, Kim is determined to find happiness in a world where not even time is on her side. Based on the play of the same name.
