Cara Delevingne, Luke Treadaway to Join Olivier-Winning West End Cabaret

London's Oliver-winning Cabaret revival will say willkommen, bienvenue, and welcome to two new stars beginning March 11. Cara Delevingne (Suicide Squad) is set to star as Sally Bowles opposite Luke Treadaway (The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time) as The Emcee.

They will succeed the production's current stars, Rebecca Lucy Taylor (AKA Self Esteem) and Jake Shears, both playing the final performances of their extended run with the revival March 9.

Also joining the cast March 11 as previously announced is Michael Ahomka-Lindsay, succeeding Nathan Ives-Moiba as Clifford Bradshaw. Ives-Moiba's final performance was January 27, and Taite-Elliot Drew is filling in until Ahomka-Lindsay's arrival.

They will join a cast also including Beverley Klein as Fraulein Schneider and Teddy Kempner as Herr Shultz. Nic Myers plays Sally Bowles once a week. Delevingne is scheduled to be absent for 22 performances in March, April, and May, so check the full schedule at KitKat.Club before buying tickets.

"There are no words to explain the excitement I have to return home to make my stage debut in such an iconic role," says Delevingne in a statement. "I am so inspired by the brilliant actors who have played Sally in past productions around the world and in this one in the West End. I cannot wait to be a part of this brilliant cast and production."

Adds Treadaway: "I can’t wait to become a member of the Kit Kat Club and join this extraordinary production. It’s a huge thrill to be asked to take this on and I’m very excited to get started."

The company also includes Wilf Scolding as Ernst Ledwig, Liv Alexander as Texas, Natalie Chua as Frenchie, Laura Delany as Rosie, Taite-Elliot Drew as Hans, Damon Gould as Victor, El Haq Latief as Helga, Grant Neal as Herman/Max, Hicaro Nicolai as Lulu, and Travis Ross as Bobby with Rebecca Lisewski, Ela Lisondra, Nic Myers, Andy Rees, Toby Turpin, and Patrick Wilden.

The prologue company is Rachel Benson, Ami Benton, Onyemachi Ejimofor, Joseph Hardy, Liz Kamille, Andrew Linnie, Aine McLoughlin, Jack William Parry, Jazmyn Raikes, Oliver Stockley, and Ena Yamaguchi.

This production of Cabaret opened in December 2021, subsequently winning a record-breaking seven Olivier Awards. The revival is transferring to Broadway's August Wilson Theatre this season, with performances set to begin April 1 ahead of an April 21 opening night. The production's Olivier-winning original Emcee Eddie Redmayne will reprise his performance for the Broadway bow, opposite Gayle Rankin as Sally Bowles, Bebe Neuwirth as Fraulein Schneider, Ato Blankson-Wood as Clifford Bradshaw, and Steven Skybell as Herr Schultz.

Based on the play by John Van Druten and stories by Christopher Isherwood, Cabaret has music by John Kander, lyrics by Fred Ebb, and a book by Joe Masteroff.

This production is directed by Rebecca Frecknall with set and costume design by Tom Scutt, choreography by Julia Cheng, musical supervision by Jennifer Whyte, musical direction by Ben Ferguson, lighting design by Isabella Byrd, and sound design by Nick Lidster. The casting director is Stuart Burt, and the associate director is Jordan Fein.
